What is the Help Desk?

The Technology Help Desk provides the Concordia University community with a primary point of contact for technology support. The Help Desk is the source for laptop, desktop, hardware, software, network, WebCT, and telecommunication support.

Who can use the Help Desk?

The Help Desk provides assistance to current and prospective students, faculty, staff, sponsored guests, and emeriti faculty of Concordia University, St. Paul.

What do I need to obtain service from the Help Desk?

To expedite your service when you contact the Help Desk, please be ready to provide:

  1. your Network ID (this helps identify you in the university directory);
  2. your full name;
  3. Your L Number;
  4. a complete 10 digit phone number so we can reach you or leave a message;
  5. the best times to contact you;
  6. your permanent address (for identification verification purposes);
  7. the e-mail address you use on a regular basis (if it is different from your CSP e-mail address); and
  8. a brief description of the problem.

What can I expect from the Help Desk?

The Help Desk Staff provides customer-friendly computer support to the Concordia community. You can expect patience and respect whenever you contact the Help Desk. The Help Desk expects patience and respect in return.

Is there a cost for using the Help Desk?

There is no cost to the Concordia community to receive support from the Help Desk.

How can I get help? If you are a part of the Concordia community and looking for support you can do one of the following: Call (651) 641-8866 during Help Desk Hours. Send an e-mail message to helpdesk@csp.edu at anytime. Search our Support Site: http://support.csp.edu

Related Topics When you report a problem, the Help Desk will work to resolve it. If we cannot resolve your problem immediately, the staff will investigate it thoroughly, determine the best course of action, and contact you with the solution.

Keep in mind that call volume and staffing levels at the Help Desk vary throughout the day, and the school year, and can impact response times.
