Allow CSP programs as Trusted Sites

Overview

You will need to make adjustments within the Internet Explorer settings to allow proper usage of our web products (Outlook Web Access, Google Apps, Bear Path, WebCT). Please follow the steps below to ensure that you can access these core products.

Adding programs to the trusted sites list

  1. Internet Explorer 7 users only: press the <Alt> key once on your keyboard to reveal the following menu below.

  2. In the menu, click on Tools, Internet Options.
  3. In the subsequent Internet Options window, click on the Security tab.
  4. Click on the Trusted Sites icon and then the Sites button.

  5. Deselect the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone checkbox.
  6. In the box below "Add this website to the zone:" type in "*.csp.edu" and then click the Add button.
  7. When finished, click on the Close button.

Additional settings for WebCT in Internet Explorer 7

  1. Follow steps 1, 2, and 3 above.
  2. Within the Security tab, click on the Custom level… button.
  3. In the Security Settings – Trusted Sites Zone window, scroll down and find the Downloads section. Review the image below for the correct section. Under Automatic prompting for file downloads, choose the Enable radial button.
  4. Click the OK button twice. If you are prompted by any security options, click Yes.
  5. If the rest of the security settings are properly established on your computer, you will now be able to open files in WebCT.
