Banner

What is Banner?

Banner is the online database that the Help Desk uses to enter and keep track of people (students, faculty, staff) and their Concordia information. This is where names, birthdays, addresses... are stored.

The Help Desk uses this to verify identification of individuals before changing a password, if the Help Desk does not have that individual in front of them (i.e. phone or e-mail).

There is a password for Banner but this is not one that the Help Desk can change. You will need to go to Melissa Stepan or Beth Peter to get your banner password changed.

Name Change

If you have changed your name:

Student: Speak to the Bear Center

Faculty/Staff: Speak to Human Resources

Birthday is wrong:

If your birthday is listed incorrectly in the system the Help Desk will be unable to reset your PIN. You must contact the Bear Center in order to ensure they have the proper birthdate for you in the system.

Entering Grades:

Only faculty have the ability to enter grades into Bear Path or Banner. If a faculty member does not know how to enter grades into the system, they should contact their department chair. The Help Desk does not know how to enter grades into Bear Path or Banner.
