Convert PowerPoint to a Web Page

One of the most important initial steps is to ensure that the PowerPoint Presentation is saved without any spaces in the title. The title should be one single block of text. A dash (-) or underscore (_) may be used to provide a break in-between words. Once the file is saved without any spaces in the title, it may be converted to a web page.

  1. Go to File and then to Save As… This will launch the Save As options window.
  2. Ensure that the File name: is a title without spaces (if not, refer to the instructions above).
  3. Change the Save as type: to Web Page (*.htm; *.html).
  4. Click on the Save button.

This will create an .htm file and a folder in the area on your computer that you chose. Both the file and folder will have the same name as the original PowerPoint Presentation.
