Creating Quizzes

WebCT gives you the ability to create, administer, and grade quizzes.

CREATING A QUIZ

1. Click on the Quizzes link on the Course menu.
2. Make sure you are on the Designer Options tab.
3. Click on Create Quiz on the Actions menu on the right-hand side.

   

4. Type in the name of your quiz, select a quiz template if you wish, and click Create.

   

ADDING QUESTIONS

1. Now we need to populate the quiz with questions. Click the bullet next to the name of your quiz. Click Edit from the Actions menu on the right-hand side.

   

2. Next, click on Add Questions in the Actions menu.

   

3. Select the question type you would like from the dropdown box and click Create. You are able to create multiple choice, matching, calculated, short answer, or paragraph (essay) questions.

   

4. Fill in the desired information for your question. Click Save.

   

5. Check the box next to your question and click Add selected.

   

6. Repeat steps 2-5 for all of your questions.
7. Click on Edit quiz settings on the Actions menu to customize your quiz. Click Update when finished.
