Default Folder View in Windows XP
It is possible to change the default folder view in Windows XP from the standard "tile view" to a view that allows you to see more files in the open window.
- Open My Computer.
- Select the View menu.
- Select your preferred folder view type: Thumbnails, Tiles, Icons, List, or Details.
- Note:Many people select the List or Details views because they conserve the most space.
- Once you have selected a view you prefer, select the Tools menu.
- Now select Folder Options....
- Click on the View tab and select Apply to All Folders.
- Press OK to close
Now when you open any folder in Windows XP it should be displayed using your preferred Folder view.
