Student Passwords
Student network/email passwords do not expire. However, changing them on a regular basis is recommended. Passwords are required to be at least six characters long and cannot be any of the previous 10 passwords.
Faculty and Staff Passwords
Faculty and Staff passwords expire every 90 days. If you are plugged into an Ethernet cable when you turn your laptop on, you should get a reminder to change your password as you near the expiration date for your current password. If you cannot log on using your most recent password, please try to change it using the procedure below. If that does not work, please contact the Help Desk to have your password reset.
Resetting your Password Online
If you do not have a concordia-owned computer, you must follow these instructions to reset your network password.
- Go to the Network Password Reset Form
- Ensure "CSP" (make sure that it is capital) is typed into the “Domain (Do Not Change)” field.
- In the E-mail/Network Username type your username.
- In the Previous Password field, enter your last known password.
- In the New Password field, type a new password. The new password needs to be at least 6 characters long, and it cannot be any of the last 10 passwords you have used.
- In the Confirm New Password field, retype the password you typed in the New Password field.
If this form does not work to reset your password. You will need to contact the Help Desk for further assistance.
Things to Check Before Contacting the Help Desk
- Are you using the correct username?
- Are you not using the correct password for the correct application? (i.e. WebCT, Banner, BearPath, or Network/E-mail passwords)
- Is it possible that you no longer have an account because you recently graduated or left Concordia?
