Google Apps Calendar Events
Similar to Microsoft Outlook, Google provides an intuitive interface for creating calendar events/appointments and inviting people to those events.

Steps For Creating A Google Calendar Event
- From your Google Apps e-mail interface select the link to your calendar.
- Find the date and time where you would like to create the event by using the small monthly calendar view on the left, or by using the various tabs above your calendar (Day, Week, Month, Next 4 Days, Agenda).
- Click on the area of your calendar for the day and time that you want to create the event on.
- Type in a name for the event in the What: field.
- From the drop-down, choose the calendar that you wish to add the event to. (If you are using multiple calendars)
- Click Edit event details.
- Adjust the time, if necessary, using the When fields. (Google defaults all events to one hour as well as starting each event on the half hour and hour marks). You may also select the check box for All day event if it will span a whole day.
- Click the Repeats drop-down if this will be a repeating event, and choose how often it will repeat.
- Type a location for your event in the Where field.
- Type a Description of your event.
- Click the Reminder drop-down to select how long before the event begins you would like to receive a reminder.
- Select whether you are Available or Busy during this event.
- Choose whether or not to override the default privacy settings for this event by selecting the Default, Private, or Public radio buttons.
- You may add guests to your event by typing in their e-mail addresses into the Guests box.
- Click Add Guests once you have entered the e-mail addresses of everyone you would like to invite.
- Select or de-select the check boxes to allow guests to Invite others and/or See the guest list.
- Click the Save button.
- Click Send from the pop-up, if you are inviting guests.
