Google Talk

Google Talk, or simply gtalk, is an Instant Messenger Client. It allows you to speak over the Jabber protocol to other users. At this point gtalk users can only interact with other gtalk users. With the migration to Google Apps, Gtalk is officially supported by the Concordia University Help Desk.

The advantages of Gtalk

  • It is very clean without ads, and there are no pop-ups.
  • It has an easy search system with which to find people.
  • Links, messages and statuses are very easy to read
  • Gtalk allows users to send any size file from one gtalk client to another.

Where to get Gtalk.

  • Gtalk is available to anybody with an internet connection and a Google E-Mail account(gmail).
  • Once you have a gmail account, you can then download gtalk here
