Microsoft Office 2007 Compatibility
Microsoft has released Microsoft Office 2007. Microsoft has significantly changed the appearance of the programs and the format in which the files save. Concordia University officially supports Microsoft Office 2003. Office 2003 will not natively open Office 2007 documents. So special steps are required to create a document that can be opened by Faculty, Staff, and other students at Concordia.
WebCT and Microsoft Office 2007
To help meet the needs of all students, the Instructional Technologies department highly recommends that instructors and students using Office 2007 save their files as the previous version. At many schools, there have been some issues with the Compatibility Pack and WebCT. Saving files as the previous version is the easiest solution.
Microsoft has released a Compatibility Pack in order to ensure simple transition from Office 2003 to Office 2007. You can download the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 file formats and download the Updates and Converters for earlier versions of Microsoft Office.
