Microsoft PowerPoint
Microsoft PowerPoint is part of the Microsoft Office Suite. This particular piece of software is used to create slide shows. It can display text, movies, graphics, charts, and many other objects. The items that are part of the presentation can be displayed through an LCD projector and navigated through by the presenter or printed out on transparencies or slides. This software is supported by the Help Desk.
How do I...?
A great tool in Microsoft PowerPoint is Microsoft Office PowerPoint Help. This can be found under the Help tab at the top of the page. The icon is a blue circle with a question mark inside it. If you click on this icon, it will open PowerPoint Help on the side of your screen. Here, you can search for almost any topic within PowerPoint. For example, if you wanted to know how to insert an audio clip into a presentation, you could type in "insert audio clip." It will then pull up numerous topics related to this, one of which is "Add music, songs, or sound effects to a slide show." If you click on this, it will open another box with instructions of how to do this. The PowerPoint Help box is a great tool for questions you may have about creating or modifying slide presentations in PowerPoint
