Pop-Up Blockers

Ads are annoying. Since most ads are displayed as pop-ups, many modern browsers have built-in tools to help you block pop-ups. However, many websites make use of pop-ups for legitimate reasons (i.e. WebCT launching a window to display a syllabus or other .doc file). If you wish to use a pop-up blocking tool, you should use one, and only one, pop-up blocking tool. Many people are not even aware they have two or three pop-up blockers turned on at the same time.
