External Hard Drive

External hard drives are mass storage devices that can be used to back up your computers data. The I.T. Department recommends backing up your data at least once a week in order to prevent unexpected data loss.

External hard drives are not supported, nor are provided by the Information & Technology Department. In many cases, external drives will come with instructions regarding how to back-up your data.

Prices of external hard drives are fairly reasonable. It averages out to about $1 for every 2 gigabytes with the price reduced the higher the size.
